Postpone now supports Mastodon! 🐘

Today we're excited to unveil Postpone's latest integration: Mastodon!

Mastodon is a microblogging platform similar to X/Twitter, however it is decentralized like Bluesky. To learn more about Mastodon and the "fediverse," check out this article from The Verge.

Our Mastodon integration has all of the great core features you're used to:

  1. Scheduler - Schedule your Mastodon posts and threads with text, links, images, GIFs, and videos.

  2. Dashboard Calendar - Track your scheduled Mastodon posts alongside your other social media posts.

  3. Analytics - See how your Mastodon posts are performing and track your follower count over time.

  4. Hashtag Manager - Create and reuse sets of hashtags based on the posts you schedule.

  5. Custom Schedules - Give each Mastodon account a schedule, then each time you schedule a post Postpone will automatically pick the next day/time slot.

Getting Started with Mastodon

Starting today you can connect your Mastodon accounts and schedule posts in Postpone.

To connect your Mastodon account, head over to Settings > Connected Accounts > Mastodon and click the Connect a Mastodon Account button. Enter the link to the Mastodon server your account is hosted on, or select from one of the popular Mastodon servers listed.

Now you're ready to schedule your Mastodon posts! Click the new Mastodon Create a Post button in the top-left corner to schedule your Mastodon posts. From there you can add text, choose images, videos, and GIFs from the Content Library, or use the Hashtag Manager, then schedule your posts.

Today's update continues our quest to become the all-in-one social media scheduling, analytics, and engagement platform built for content creators.

For Mastodon we will continue building out core features, such as:

  1. Auto-repost

  2. Auto-remove posts

  3. Bulk Import

Other Improvements

Today's update also includes a few other improvements and bug fixes:

  • Improved UI for accounts that use more than 3 platforms.

  • Improved Bluesky authentication.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented bulk deleting Reddit posts on the List Dashboard display.

  • Fixed a bug where Tumblr posts would not submit if Apple image formats (.heic) were used in images.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented adding proxies that have special characters in their username or password (such as ?).
