Happy Wednesday everyone! We're about to head into the Thanksgiving holiday here at Postpone, but before we do, we wanted to release one more update with some critical improvements for notification posting.

Today's update improves Reddit notification posting for both agencies on desktop and for creators on mobile. Let's dive into the details!

Notification Posting Improvements for Desktop

Improved Notification Handling

We changed how Postpone sends browser-based notifications, which comes with several improvements:

  • Browser-based notifications are now much more reliable.

  • You can now assign social accounts to each browser in Settings > Devices & Browsers.

  • Notifications now support browser profiles.

    • That means you can use separate browser profiles for each social account, and receive the right notifications per profile, ensuring you're logged in and ready to post.

  • Postpone no longer has to be open in your browser to receive notifications for notification posts (but your browser does need to be running).

Register your browser and assign social accounts in Settings > Devices & Browsers.

Posting Workflow Improvements

We also made several workflow improvements to notification posting on web.

  • Fields are now copyable by clicking anywhere in the card

  • Posting to a Reddit profile now pre-fills fields on Reddit.com

  • Overdue Posts are now ordered by date

  • The notification post preview pop-up now provides a warning if the post has already been submitted to help prevent duplicate posts

  • Updated Overdue Posts to ensure data is more up-to-date

  • We fixed an issue where clicking Mark as Submitted wouldn't remove the post from Overdue Posts

Reddit Posting Hours

Today's update also introduces Posting Hours for Reddit.

You can now tell Postpone which hours you plan to post. This setting ensures that Postpone only displays the best post time recommendations that fall within your posting hours.

Add your Posting Hours in Settings > Default Post Settings > Reddit.

Mobile App Updates

Version 1.6.3 of the Postpone mobile app is also rolling out. Today's update includes additional improvements to make Reddit notification posting as smooth as possible, including:

  • Added an option to publish Reddit posts on Reddit.com instead of via the Reddit mobile app

    • Post on Web has several improvements over Post in App: it pre-fills fields in profile posts, pre-fills subreddit on Android, and provides quick copy buttons.

  • Added Reddit notification posting tips for iOS and Android

  • Improved visual feedback when copying fields

  • Postpone now sends a reminder notification to mark the post as submitted if it's not marked as submitted within 2 minutes of launching the platform

    • This can be disabled in Settings > Notifications in the Postpone mobile app

  • Fixed an issue where marking a post as published may not remove it from the Scheduled Posts or Overdue screens automatically

Other Improvements

  • Added the ability for Free plan users to download past invoices.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where bulk removing Reddit submissions from Scheduled, Drafts, or Overdue Posts would remove all subreddit submissions for that post.

  • Fixed an issue that could cause link embeds to fail in LinkedIn posts.

Closing

That's it for today!
